Indian sweets @ Laddu.. or Laddooo.....

Heyya, some of my frens came over from Bangladesh and brought me these fine fine fine sweets. They are really sweet tho, but i love it, the taste of the milk is defined, and whoa.. i just cant describe it, its like eating original caramel, sweetened and flavored yet the the original taste just keeps coming back.. I dug out some info bout laddoo, enjoy the post!

--> Laddu or Laddoo (Hindi: लड्डू; Urdu: لڈو) is an Indian, Pakistani and Bengali sweet that is often prepared to celebrate festivals or household events such as weddings. It is made of flour and other ingredients formed into balls that are dipped in sugar syrup. Some are purely made of milk, some added with coconut and others are added with nuts and spices. Really something to savor.. Should try 'em! :).

As far as i know, you cant really find laddoo in sarawak (if you do, plssss oh pls tell me.. ). My frens from peninsular used to brag bout laddoo being sold here, there and everywhere in Kuala Lumpur.. hmpph.. (used to envy them), but no matter, it was really a treat for me to get to taste these ones!! oh this will last me years!! :) hehehe..

okay, the square flowery one is called KHIR SHONDESH, next to it the brown colored one is HABSHI HALWA, to the far top (half brown, half white) is CHOCO BORFI, colourful one is CARROT BORFI and lastly the one closest to your screen is KAJU BORFI (milky milky.. mmmm yummy!)

-enjoy!-

Eating Out at Chillipeppers!

We (eva and i) had breakfast at Chillipeppers, and what a feast we had! haha.. Enjoy the pics..

Both of us had Kasturi lime juice! very sour! but nice! i love it!

Mee Jawa / Jawa Noodle

'Jawa noodle is simply yellow noodle or some may call it 'fat noodle' in thick gravy. Gravy is made of beef stock or chicken stock and thickened with groundnuts. Its garnished with chicken and/or egg.'

Chicken Laksa

'Laksa is one of the famous dishes in Sarawak. Its vermicelli or bihun noodle, very thin-like noodle in curry gravy. Curry gravy is made from prawn stock and laksa spice with coconut milk. You can either add prawn, chicken, egg and anything you wish. The ones they sell are usually with shreds of chicken meat, slices of omellete, beansprout and the vermicelli in gravy itself.'

Chicken Cheese Sandwich

'Ooooh, i just love the taste of imported cheese in anything! :) haha, this is simply delicious!'

'enjoy!'

I cant blame people or zone out people from having what ever their taste buds desire rite! hehe.. so i guess, it depends on ones point of view, but some do it for health purpose or just for the taste of it.. well enjoy the post!

You can even get dog liver, black scorpion and etc.. what a weird way to enjoy ALL the food of the world eh? hehe.. (i just had to show all of you the different types of food the world has to offer! haha).

Eating Out at Life Cafe

Life Cafe
Off Carpenter Street, Behind Chinese Temple, Kuching.

Budget wise : Rm10 to 15 per person would be just nice.

I love the setting of the cafe, just love it! :)

My dongsaeng, smiling away!

The setting is just great! :)

Pan fried spring onion pancake

'pan fried spring onion pancake! mmmm, well for me it looked like a normal omellete, but i guess, it was pancake and egg spreaded on top, dashed with spring onions, peppers and salt.. was just a normal dish, was slightly disappointed but it was great.'

Life Cafe's Black Pepper Lamb Rice Specialty

'i love this very much! it was one of my favourites, but now the price has hiked up to rm8 instead of rm5.90 before.. :( but who cares! mmmmm, the lamb in black pepper sauce and stewed carrots, owh! i just love it! i fairly recommend this! :)'

Vegetarian Black Pepper Chicken with Rice

'its a great idea to have vegetarian dishes in cafes' cause well, some may prefer vegetarian dishes (coz they like it or coz they're vegans), this dish was ordered by my 'dongsaeng' - anusyah, it was delicious, and yummy all the way!'

Pan Fried Dumplings Vegetarian

'Pan fried vegetarian dumplings had a strong smell from the vegetarian soy itself, if you'd dip it in the vinegar sauce, it would taste better'

And to down it off with Hot Lime Green Tea

'Ahh... this was great, for me at least, strong taste of lime and tea goes well, just love it!'

Other dishes i like is the hot & spicy noodle, yum! You should try it! Seriously loving it! :) Enjoy!

D-I-Y Pizza

D-I-Y Pizza

All you need is;

1. Pizza dough

2. Toppings;
Anything you prefer would be fine actually :), Top your pizza dough with tomato paste (can add chillie paste if you want..), then add mayonaise to add that soury taste (can add other sauce too), then you decorate your pizza at your own liking. This one i made was vegetarian, lots of capsicum, tomatoes, vegetarian sausage, onions and some mixed herbs. Final touch is to add some strip cheese on the top. You can add grated parmesan cheese as well.

Then bake at 110 degrees C for at least 15 to 20 minutes. :)

Im no pizza expert but it taste pretty damn good though! :)

Pizza ready to bake.. :)

My very own pizza, ready to eat! haha..
