Ramadhan Bazaar - FOOD FOOD

Do you know what is ramadhan? Well, the Muslims are most familiar with this month and the month is known to them to be the most holiest month of the year, it is during this year that the Muslims reflect on their past actions and rethink on it. People are most familiar with the fasting that takes place during the month too.. after their 30 days of fasting and reflecting, they have the pleasure to celebrate raya! :)

But for me.. ^wink wink^ its food festival!!! heheh, non-muslims get to enjoy the various food that muslims have to offer, their specialties range from a to z!! well, what i mean is that i dont really get to see all these food during normal days, so i really appreciate the month.. hehehe :) enjoy!

Ramadhan Bazaar @ Mile 7, Kuching

Look at the dif types of drinks, the coloured one is CENDOL or ABC - Air Batu Campur (Mix Blended Ice drink? i presumed!!) :)

Sarawak is well know for its KEK LAPIS @ LAYER CAKES, the colours and the designs, just superb!

We even have roti canai!! :) Indian bread.. bread cooked over hot plate, we have the plain type, egg within, sardine, beef etc..

Fish!! Fishies!! Yum! The fish is cooked over hot plate with a spicy 'sambal' @ sauce on banana leaf.

Dif types of dish prepared for you to eat with plain rice, we have chic, beef, lamb curry or rendang, veges, 'umai' - raw fish, prawn or jelly fish marinated in lime juice with chillie as a dish eaten with rice as well and loaaaadddsss more!!

this was odd actually!! hehehe, i found mr. chocolate bread man!!! :)

Traditional KENYAH appetizer - 'KELUPIS', glutinous rice in banana leaf - steamed.

Fruit punch with a lil drop of vodka and 7uP!

Steamed 'Sultan' fish!! with onions and ginger!

Eating Out at Bella Italia..

Dinky Pirates eating out at BELLA ITALIA.. Some Italian food everyone?

Mushroom soup!! The tastiest I've tasted so far, MMmmmMMM..Real mushroom inside.. and some top off with some bread crumbs.. It's a big bowl for two, I'm sure it's satisfactory, rm7 for the soup.

Garlic Bread...

Bacon Spaghetti, Bella Italia specialty.. range of rm15 to 20++ for spaghetti..

MMmmM.. Look at that!

I love all the herbs in spaghetti!! Oregano, bay leaves, etc..

It's just a small place, but I like it, Im not a big fan of crowds, I love a quiet place at times..

Eating Out at Kasih Cafe

Eating out at Kasih Cafe (Malay Food).

Location : Kasih Cafe, Satok area.

Price : Normal - Rm4 to 5 per dish, drinks Rm1.20 to Rm3 per drinks (depends). The pictures below shows; (a) Mee Kolok Malay Style (RM4) and (b) Nasi Pattaya (Egg-wrapped fried rice) (Rm4++).

Mee Kolok Malay Style - okay for me, very different from the chinese style but up to perfection.

For the chinese style - they use pork, for this particular dish they use beef or some may use chicken too.

MmmmMM.. :)

Pattaya Fried Rice Kasih Cafe Style! :)

The sambal is quite spicy but all in all, the dish was superb.
